E-RYT 200/RYT 500
Caitlin loves yoga, movement, music, and meditation and weaves these elements together in her classes. Her intention is for students to connect to the present moment and step off the mat feeling refreshed and ready to bring a renewed sense of peace and balance back into the world with them. “I love teaching and am honored to have the opportunity to share some of the amazing benefits of yoga. My classes are designed to help even beginning students enjoy conscious movement and learn to move through stress with grace. I love being a part of the LCY community and hope to see you in the studio soon!”
Caitlin is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200/RYT 500) who has always been interested in the nature of consciousness, beginning to study this in depth while earning her B.A. degree in psychology and then later through the teachings of yoga. Caitlin became interested in yoga and meditation in 1997 while volunteering in India, the birthplace of yoga. After practicing seated meditation for several years, she added yoga asana to her practice in 2000 and the combination helped her overcome great challenges and reduce physical pain.
Having worked in adoption education and taught English in several countries before her son was born, she decided to combine her education background with her love of yoga. She completed CorePower’s 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training and joined LifeCore as an instructor in 2011. In 2017, she graduated from the Devanadi School of Yoga & Wellness 340-hour program. Her yogic studies have included hatha, tantra, ayurveda, energy medicine, mudras, meditation techniques, chakras, the mind-body-spirit connection, and pranayama as well as yoga’s philosophy, ancient texts, history and lineage. She has guided over 1,500 yoga classes and workshops.
Outside of the studio, you can find Caitlin reading books or discovering new music and going to live shows. She works to support the local library system by planning fundraising events including an annual costume ball and 5K. She’s a devoted mom, aunt and wife who loves spending family time at the cabin and looks for the teacher in nature and all things.
